Christmas.... In January!!!!!

Our kids loved the holidays! We had so much fun staying home for Christmas. Grandma Zollinger did the 12 days of Christmas for us, we loved opening all the presents. The kids really enjoyed the Reindeer Dust for Christmas Eve that we sprinkled on the snow.
We also saw Santa at the Ward Christmas Party. Patrick didn't want to sit on his lap, but Reed loved him and told him he wanted Power Ranger stuff without all the garbage (packaging) Mady just wanted the treat bag, and after a lot of convincing, Pat told Santa he wanted castle Legos. We did humanitarian projects the rest of the party, and got paint everywhere!
Also during the holidays, for my work party we went to the Boise Steelheads Hockey game. It was so fun to be with co-workers that I love, and see a hockey game. Everyone but Kellen and I were drunk, so it was fun to make fun of them after!
Then we went to I.F. for some late Christmas parties. We went sledding, and opened more presents and got to see Kellen's brother Morgan who returned from 3 months in Jerusalem. We loved being with family!

So, I know this is a really late post about Christmas, but it is better late than never- right? :)

My little Snowflake

On Monday night Patrick's school had a kindergarten Holiday program. We learned all about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Patrick's class were snowflakes. He was grumpy about going and we fought with him the entire night. He stomped into his classroom and when his teacher saw him, she said "Patrick, you look a little sour tonight, we don't want sours in our program!"

We were anxious to hear him sing the entire songs, since we have been hearing bits and pieces for a while now. They did a great job! It is so fun to see kids do funny things when they don't want to sing, and also to hear the few boys who feel the need to not sing the words, but yell them! Patrick didn't want to do any actions with the rest of the group, and sometimes he would fake sing, but he looked adorable anyway! He was standing next to a boy who tried to talk to him the entire time. I tried to get a picture of him singing, but a little girl in front of him moved a lot!
Reed danced the to the first song, then fell asleep. Mady loved the songs and loved the cute little Emmett sitting next to us!
I love this Christmas season, and all the fun things we get to do!

Christmas Tag!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapped all the way! I LOVE making them all pretty with Ribbons, bows, and ornaments :)
2. Real tree or Artificial? I love real trees, but we have an artificial pre-lit. All those pine needles make me crazy!
3. When do you put up the tree? The weekend after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? The weekend after Christmas
5. Do you like eggnog? LOVE IT!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? A little cupboard that my Great Uncle Bill built for me. Mady gets it next year for Christmas :)

8. Easiest person to buy for? All my nieces and nephews
9. Do you have a nativity scene? I have 6! I LOVE them (I am saving up for the Willow tree set)
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Cards, I love getting them, so I love to send them.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I can't say, the person who gave it to me reads this!
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? All the classics- Rudolph, Charlie Brown, Frosty, It's a Wonderful Life, etc...
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? August
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes, but as a white elephant gift!
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Turkey and my MIL's cranberry sauce
16. Lights on the tree? Colored, I love to see them twinkle
17. Favorite Christmas song? I don't have a favorite- I love them all!
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We would love to travel to our Parent's house, but we are staying home this year!
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers? Roudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixxon, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We have our pj's on Christmas eve, then presents on Christmas- all day long!
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People being grumpy- especially cashiers!
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I love blue and silver, but our tree is red a silver
24. What do you want for Christmas this year? Work clothes, I know boring huh! And Food Storage :)
